As Mr. Boroujerdi’s health declines, he is transferred to a hospital outside of prison

According to received reports, Mr. Kazemeini-Boroujerdi, prisoner of conscience, who has been suffering from severe kidney problems, was transferred to a hospital outside Evin prison on Saturday, May 26th, 2012.

It is important to mention that Mr. Boroujerdi who while passing Kidney stones suffered from internal injuries in the process and began to hemorrhage externally. This emergency situation forced the prison authorities to transfer him to a hospital outside Evin prison, however claiming that the hospital itself was not sufficiently equipped, Mr. Boroujerdi was returned to Evin without treatment!

supporters of Mr. Boroujerdi were summoned to the Special Court for Clergy


According to the report of “Human Rights and Democracy in Iran”, ten supporters of  Kazemaini Boroujerdi’ who had been summoned to Special Clerical Court, were summoned to court again via telephone on April 9 and 11.
According to the summons, Roya Araghi, Mariam Azimi, Tayebeh Hosseini, Narges. Ghaffarzadeh, Zahra Abdullah Vand, Zohreh Sharif, Maryam Ghasemi and two men named Mohammed Reza Sadeghi and Mohamad Mehmannavaz were summoned for a second time during within one month, and required to appear on April 30, 2012 at the Special Clerical Court in Tehran on  Zafaraanieh street.

The Special Court for Clergy summons 8 female supporters of Mr. Boroujerdi


Eight supporters of Mr. Boroujerdi were summoned via phone to the Special Court for Clergy. According to the report of "Human Rights and Democracy in Iran", in addition of the above telephonic summons, Special Court for Clergy has contacted their sponsors and threatened them with forfeiture of their financial bonds and collaterals and enforce the payments of guarantees made by the sponsor as the original condition of their release in the event that the eight summoned individuals fail to appear in court of the specified dates.
