The Critical Health Status of Mr. Kazemeini Boroujerdi and Denial of Medical Leave

Reports from Iran,indicated  that on Saturday March 28,  2015,  Mr. Kazemini Boroujerdi has a  brief meeting  with his wife Mrs Akram Validosti in the second week of  Nowruz( Persian New Year).  ​ Mr. Kazemini-Boroujerdi is beginning his tenth year in prison and so far, he has not been given medical furlough, and the regime authority has actively refused him any medical care for his ever-worsening multitude of illnesses which have become chronic. He has also been prohibited from receiving any legal representation.
Mr. Kazemeini Boroujerdi has suffered from various diseases such as heart disease, respiratory, and also severe osteoporosis due to deprivation from health care, proper food while he has been under torture constantly.   Despite his ongoing ailments, so far no effective action has been taken to treat his condition by the prison authorities.  His family continues to express their distress and have repeatedly called for the United Nations to send an independent physician to examine and treat him.

In addition, Mr Boroujerdi 's phone calls was strictly limited after he was transferred from solitary confinement to the Special Clerical ward of Evin prison  (ward 325). He rarely can have a phone conversation with his family and this is kind of harassment and torture for him. Meanwhile, the authorities of Special Clerical Court  emphasis that for receiving medical care and treatment, he must  retreat from  his intellectual positions.
